As time progresses, things change; it’s a natural part of life. This is especially true for the automobile industry, which has seen its fair share of drastic changes throughout the decades. The next stop for automobiles is producing more efficient, alternative fuel-source vehicles that can provide drivers with all the comforts and conveniences of your standard car, but with a smaller carbon footprint. Keep reading to learn about how Honda is changing the game with its most fuel-efficient hybrid: the 2018 Clarity Plug-In Hybrid.

The Makeup of the 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid

So, what makes the 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid one of the most fuel-efficient hybrids on the market? The 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid possesses a class-leading all-electric range of 47 miles when fully charged.* We can thank the 17 kWh battery pack with 181 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque and its short recharging time of two and a half hours at 240 volts for this kind of all-electric potential. Even when in gasoline-only mode, mileage estimates get as high as an EPA-estimated 44 mpg city and 40 mpg highway.* When combining both the systems and running in hybrid mode, the Clarity is estimated to get up to 110 MPGe.*  With such high mileage estimates from the EPA, it’s clear that the Clarity is doing exceptionally well at providing a fuel-efficient vehicle for drivers, but that’s not all it has to offer.

The 2018 Clarity Plug-In Hybrid isn’t yet available for purchase, but Honda has confirmed that features such as Honda Sensing, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an environmentally conscious interior will appear on the vehicle upon release.
