2015 Honda CR-VDrivers in the Albany area have quite a few crossover vehicles available to them, but if you’ve had your eye on the 2015 Chevy Equinox features, we suggest you look elsewhere. While Chevy’s features package is better than some competitors, it doesn’t compare to what Honda gives drivers on every trim level of the 2015 Honda CR-V.

Let’s see how these two crossovers stack up.

Honda Gives Drivers the Latest Features

If you’ve been following the Honda lineup for the last few years, you should know that Honda has built a reputation for themselves for giving drivers the latest in in-vehicle amenities, and the 2015 Chevy Equinox features just can’t compare. You can find the following on each 2015 Honda CR-V:

  • Multi-angle rearview camera
  • Bluetooth for phone and audio
  • Illuminated steering wheel-mounted controls
  • Pandora radio compatibility
  • Speed-sensitive volume control

You’ll find none of these features on the Equinox, save for Bluetooth (but Chevy only allows for phone calls over the wireless connection, no streaming audio).

In order to put the Chevy crossover on par with the CR-V, you would need to make substantial upgrades, and the Equinox already costs more: the 2015 Honda CR-V 2WD LX has a price of just $23,445 (MSRP)* while the Equinox is priced at $24,520. As far as long-term costs go, that same CR-V earns an EPA-estimated 34 highway and 27 city mpg** to the Equinox’s 32 highway and 22 city mpg.

Put simply, the CR-V has no trouble meeting or exceeding the Equinox in the areas we know our Albany-area drivers are concerned with in a new vehicle – features, price, and fuel economy – and it manages to give you more passenger and cargo space as well.
