2016 Honda Odyssey LXWe want to make sure our Albany area drivers get the best, and if you’re shopping for a minivan like the 2016 Nissan Quest, its standard features should give you pause. While a modern minivan like the 2016 Honda Odyssey makes sure to give all drivers a variety of modern features, looking at the 2016 Nissan Quest standard features, it’s easy to see that not all automakers are so forward thinking.

Let’s take a look at how the amenities of these two vehicles stack up.

The 2016 Nissan Quest Standard Features

One of the biggest advantages of the Odyssey is visible by simply looking at the trim levels. Honda offers six to the Quest’s four, giving you plenty in the way of variety, but we think it’s generous to say that the Quest offers you four trim levels. The basic 2016 Nissan Quest standard features feel like something out of the early 21st century and require an upgrade to the SV trim to even come close to the basic Odyssey LX.

Here’s a look at the features on each Odyssey that require no upgrade; you won’t find them on the basic Quest S:

  • Bluetooth for phone and audio
  • Rearview camera with guidelines
  • 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • One-motion 60/40-split folding third-row Magic Seat

Not only will you not find comparable features without upgrading the Quest a trim level or two, the Magic Seat is exclusive to the Honda brand. And while upgrades to the Quest might put it on par with the basic Odyssey, upgrades to Honda’s minivan give you access to more Honda exclusives, like the new HondaVac vacuum cleaner.

This built-in vacuum is found on the new Special Edition trim as well as on the Touring Elite trim, and it lets you keep the minivan spick-and-span. Designed to reach every nook and cranny of the Odyssey, the HondaVac can even run for up to eight minutes after shutting off the engine, letting you clean up any spills before they become crunched into the carpet by the kids.

Test Drive an Odyssey

We think there’s a lot to love about the Odyssey, especially when you put it up against the lackluster 2016 Nissan Quest standard features—limited to power accessories and windows and not much else. See the Odyssey in person at a Capital Region Honda Dealer near you today.
